According to Bleacher Report, the wrestler died shortly afterward in the hotel at age 38 as the autopsy revealed he had acute heart failure due to underlying atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1985 and later attended the University of New Mexico on an athletic scholarship.
